Three day SLR photography workshop
Learn to see. Learn to translate. Learn to trust your eye.
There’s a quiet shift that happens when you begin to understand your camera.
The world slows down, just slightly.
Light becomes something you notice.
Moments feel… more intentional.
This workshop is an invitation into that space.
Not a technical deep dive filled with jargon but a guided, practical experience where you begin to understand how your camera sees… and how to make it see with you.
The Experience
We move gently from understanding → to doing → to refining.
Session One — Understanding Light & Control
We begin with the essentials.
Aperture, shutter speed, ISO not as abstract concepts, but as tools you’ll start to feel and recognise.
This is where things begin to click.
Session Two — Out in the World
We step outside.
Camera in hand, you’ll work through simple, guided exercises observing light, experimenting, adjusting.
No pressure to get it perfect.
Just space to explore, make mistakes, and discover what works.
Session Three — Refining Your Eye
We return to your images.
Not just to edit but to look more closely.
To understand why certain photographs work… and others don’t.
You’ll begin to develop something far more valuable than settings:
your eye.
Who This Is For
This is for you if…
- You’ve recently bought a camera and want to move beyond auto
- You feel like you almost understand it, but not quite
- You want a slower, more thoughtful way of learning
- You’re drawn to photography not just as a skill but as a way of seeing
What You’ll Walk Away With
A quiet confidence in using your camera
A practical understanding of light and exposure
A stronger sense of composition
A simple, usable editing approach
And perhaps most importantly
A different relationship with the images you make.
The Setting
Based in Gqeberha, where the shifting coastal light, open skies, and everyday textures become part of the learning.
Nothing staged.
Nothing artificial.
Just real environments, as they are.
Booking
