Esmé Goosen holds a National Art Teacher’s Diploma from the College for Advanced Technical Education in Port Elizabeth, where she majored in Sculpture and Painting. Over the years, she has shared her passion for art through teaching at various local schools and continues to guide adult groups in painting and drawing creating spaces where creativity can unfold freely.

Her work has been exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions locally and nationally, with pieces finding homes not only across South Africa but internationally.

Esmé is deeply drawn to portraiture and landscapes, yet her practice is not confined by genre. She moves fluidly between disciplines, embracing storytelling, poetry, and songwriting as natural extensions of her creative voice.

An intuitive painter at heart, Esmé approaches the canvas with minimal preconception. Rather than imposing an outcome, she allows the process itself to lead each work evolving organically, guided by instinct, emotion, and moment.
